Earring & Jewellery Care

‣ Avoid getting jewellery wet unnecessarily - remove before showering / swimming.

‣ Remove before sleep to avoid possible breakage and unnecessary strain on the earrings.

‣ Store in a closed jewellery box, dish or baggie to ensure the earrings are protected from dust and the elements.

‣ Avoid direct contact with heat, hairspray, perfumes, oils, moisturisers etc. Be mindful of the oils and products on your hands too as these products can break down the clay / sealant used, the resin coating or even tarnish certain alloy metals used in our products. If metal does tarnish you can gently wipe with a wet cloth to clean.

‣ Note that Raw Brass will naturally tarnish and this is completely normal. Brass can sometimes be cleaned with just Tomato Sauce or if you have other brass polishes such as Brasso you can use these as per the recommended instructions for brass jewellery. Only get these cleaning products on the brass or metal elements - do not touch these to the polymer clay or resin components as this could eat away at the seal or discolour your jewellery.

Always ensure pieces are thoroughly dried before wearing and storing as moisture can cause damage to the items or irritation to your skin.

Some of our earrings are constructed using Polymer Clay. Polymer clay is a lightweight and comfortable to wear medium and can be durable if taken care of properly. Some earrings are sealed with Resin. If earrings do get marked / dirty you can wipe clean with a mild soap and water mix. Avoid harsh chemicals or harsh scrubbing as this could cause imperfections or damage the clay construction or scratch the resin.

‣ Be careful not to drop earrings. As they are made with fragile materials such as baked clay, resin, glass etc and could break upon impact.

The metals we use are a mixture of real Sterling Silver 925, real Gold plated (14K, 18K, 24K), Raw Brass, Rose Gold Plated look, White Gold Plated look, Stainless Steel (304 / 309), Powder coated mixed alloys. Most of our metals are classed as hypoallergenic however if you have very sensitive skin please ensure you do not purchase items with materials your skin does not agree with.

All our studs and ear hooks are generally lead and nickel free. Please note Surgical-grade stainless steel may contain some nickel, but is usually considered hypoallergenic.
